((That comment up there? Needs an edit! Mainly because Savannah hated Tris - or any girl that showed him interest for that matter.))

Savannah simply nodded a nod and continued to eat. She knew that he hadn't looked for her. Honestly, she seriously doubted that he'd even thought about her. He, likely, had forgotten that she even existed until he walked into the Great Hall to find her sitting at the Hufflepuff table.

Out of sight, out of mind, right? Right.

It was nothing to mope over. She was growing quite accustomed to it. Really, the only thing that had changed was the fact that she now had someone to pass the time with. Barrett. Which, she couldn't have been more grateful for. It had grown quite lonely in her little alcove, she was happy to have company in it occasionally.

Who knew? Maybe that was the reason she found herself in such a good mood when she was with Barrett? He actually showed her attention. He treated her like a goddess. He never yelled at her... or ignored her... not even during Quidditch matches. She was willing to bet that he wouldn't go off to watch football if they ever... not that she was planning on doing that, of course. She didn't want to do that ever again. The point... since this, certainly, had a point... maybe she found less to bitch about because she didn't want to be alone again. Not that she would ever -ever- admit to being lonely... she didn't need anyone other than herself, after all.

"If you really wanted, I could try and make myself around more often," she offered. Not that she really thought he cared. He'd never really cared. He showed her that daily. (Forget that they didn't even see one another daily... but not seeing him was a clear indication that he didn't care... so it worked.)

Out of mind was right! Savannah was insane if she thought that Bryant didn't think about her at all. She was one of his oldest friends and him dating Tris (or even being in love with her) didn't change that. He adores Savannah (when she wasn't acting completely mad) and he liked spending time with her most of the time. He missed her when he didn't see her much for awhile, too.

Really, he didn't mean to neglect their friendship in spending so much time with Tris and he didn't even notice if he was doing that. Sure, he was spending most spare moments he could manage with the girl and he was even going to class for her, but that didn't mean he meant to neglect Savannah in the process.

"I don't want to put you out," he told her, frowning, because he couldn't tell if she meant that sincerely or was just.. being her. "But it would be nice to see you more often. I miss you."

Bryant often thought that Savannah was out of her mind. It was obvious that she, sometimes, was but she'd never agree with it. Honestly, the insinuation pissed her off beyond belief.

She, really, didn't believe that Bry thought about her. She, certainly, didn't believe that he ever missed her. She, also, blamed all of this on the Tris girl. The girl was, single handedly, destroying her friendship... not just any friendship... her only friendship. Well, her only friendship until Barrett. Sometimes, she didn't know what she'd do without her Gryffindor.. friend. That was a lie... she knew... she'd be alone... like she'd been for months before they'd gone on that first date.

Whether he meant to or not, he was neglecting Savannah. Of course, he always had in some form or another. Just another reason for her to invest so much of herself in Barrett... he wanted to spend time with her... he actually cared about her.

She'd been sincere with her offer. For once she'd not been sarcastic. However, a million sarcastic comments popped into her mind when he said that it would be nice to see her... that he missed her.

I'm easily found, she thought. If you really wanted to see me, you could. Maybe you should pull your head out of the girl's arse for five minutes and actually TRY to spend time with me. Oh, I'll see if I can pull my lips from Barrett long enough to pay you attention.

She just looked at him for a moment, trying to come up with an appropriate response. "I'm easily found, you know..." she offered. "I still spend a large amount of time in my normal spot... if you really wanted to see me, you could do so."

No, she wasn't being a bitch. She was being honest. Her tone was sincere... so was her expression... even Bryant shouldn't be able to read anything else into it.

She might not have meant it in a bad way, but he certainly took it as such. Maybe he was just feeling a bit defensive or something, but he couldn't help wondering why she couldn't come find him just as easily.

"You could come find me just as easily, you know," he replied. Really how was he expected to think that she cared about him at all, anyway? It wasn't like she ever went out of her way to track him down.

Bryant was a predictable sort, too. He was never difficult to find, because there weren't a whole lot of difference places he ever went.

You know, aside from actually going to class these days.

Of course he took it in a bad way. He was Bryant Sawyer and she had a point. It was impossible for him to, simply, admit that she was right. She should have known that he would behave in such a fashion.

"I've gone to find you," she returned with a look. "You're normally busy... so I don't interrupt."

That wasn't a lie. She had gone looking for him before only to find him with Tris. What was she supposed to do, squeeze in and play the part of third wheel? No... she wasn't doing that. She'd simply slipped back off to where she'd come from.

Simply, of course, meant that she was pissed beyond the telling of it but she kept that part to herself.

Also, Bry could tell that she cared for him if he would only open his eyes/pull his head from the other girl's arse long enough to really look at her. He knew her better than any other person on the planet he could read her like an open book, if he so desired... he just didn't.

Oddly, Savannah didn't want to fight today. She planned to spend some time with Barrett and this with Bry would only put her in a bad mood for the entire weekend. "I would like to see you more often, though," she told him as she pushed her plate away.

It was a lot for Savannah to come this close to actually admitting actual feelings and she'd suddenly lost her appetite.

"Right."

Bryant didn't think he could ever be too busy for a friend, so he didn't get that at all. Besides, if she didn't tell him he was there, how was he suppoed to know?

"You've been busy a lot yourself, lately," he replied calmly. It was true. He'd heard all about her and that big Gryffindor. More power to her if she was ahppy with him, he figured. But that didn't mean he liked not seeing very much of her.

Or that he was going to take all the responsibility for them never seeing each other. No, this was just as much her fault.

Right. It was true.

The one (maybe two but probably just the one) time that she'd gone to find him, Bryant had been busy with that other Hufflepuff girl and she didn't feel like being some third wheel or watching how he gave that girl the lovey dovey eyes that he'd never had for her. That was just... painful annoying.

"I've not been all that busy," she returned. "Besides, when it comes down to it, I'm never too busy for you."

Sure, she'd been spending a lot of time with Barrett but had anyone else acted as if they wanted to be around her? No. What should she do, sit alone and pine for someone that didn't even care? Of course not!

In her opinion, this was all his fault. Didn't he know that she'd do anything he asked of her? She was willing to bet that she missed him a lot more than he missed her.
