After 3.5 years, I have just completed my Master's of Library Science.

That is all, and carry on.

Just a quick note to let y'all know that I'm alright from the hurricane. There is no power or heat at my house, but we have a working stove and food and water (and alcohol. Plenty of alcohol).

Friends have rescued me from the cold. They are awesome.

Tomorrow I go back to work. Wish me luck...

2011 was mildly, if not extremely disappointing. I am so glad it is over and done, and I can look forward to new things.

I will do more improv.
I will force myself to write.
I will NOT think everything is based on other people, as tempting as it is.

I WILL make 2012 a better year.

I promise.

Writer's block has broken a bit. I've been churning out a few new poems, some decent, most needing a lot of work. But it's better than the nothing from before ( Read more... )

Grad school is in progress. I rather enjoy parts of it, and other parts leave me a bit dissatisfied. One of those parts is that I was asked by three people to help them cheat on their final exam last semester, complete with offers of money. I submitted some work to red lights, a literary journal for tanka poetry. It looks like they have accepted one of my tanka, contingent on me revising a faulty line.

I will now drink some Bailey's to celebrate the happy news.

I met Neil Gaiman today at a signing. He was awesome and friendly, signed both my books and gave me a big bear hug.

I can now die happy.

I have moved into my new place with Big Brother. It is rather awesome, especially the bigger bedroom that allows me to actually have storage space and display stuff. Abby is already calling the place "our house."
