So I've been musing over this for a while and sort of struggling with a decision, and then I realized that I had the internet to help me out. Maybe? Please? ( Cut for rambling about my personal life...not terribly interesting. )

A blend of art and Star Wars! What more could you possibly want?

I have talked to him about it, but he's being persistent. I'm just not totally sure if he understands what it would actually be like to have me there. My year 10 formal was...less than excellent, hence the hesitation. I'm trying to decide whether it would be better or worse to go when I don't know anyone.

I have an appointment now!

I have told him, but he's persistent in saying that it'll all be good. I think maybe, while he understands how socially awkward I am, he doesn't totally get what that would mean if I was his date?

(I had some lemon tea with milk and honey, on your advice! It was excellent!)

I do not know that episode - I am watching them on TV - but Sweets! I could not love him more, seriously, he's so adorable and geeky! (Like there needed to be another geek on the show.)

I will have a discussion with him on Sunday and get it all sorted. *tries to sound confident and fails miserably*

(So all I need to cure the common cold is lemon tea with milk and honey and porn rest.)

I hadn't noticed his forearms. But probably, thanks to you, it is all I will be looking at next episode.

I am totally chiming in with... more or less the same thing everyone else said - if you can, talk to him to point out that you're not so much with the drinking and dancing, and if he is not going to give you a hard time about that, then go to the formal at least (though from our afterballs as well, I'd say that skipping that part is probably a good idea).

And URK at the cold - definitely best to go double check with the doctor just in case - too many people I know have wound up with chest infections/bronchitis/pneumonia lately. :/

And the Vader thing looks AWESOME.

I am... behind on Bones right now, mostly as a result of a traumatic last episode I watched incident, but other than that I love love love it. &labrats;

He knows about the drinking and dancing - though he totally doesn't understand it - and I think the issue is he doesn't totally get what that would mean should I go as his date. And yes, definitely skipping the afterparty if I do go.

There have been an alarming number of chest infections going around, so I'm booked for an appointment this Saturday. Hopefully it's all good.

Anything Star Wars related is pretty awesome :)

A traumatic incident? Fill me in? Bones is awesome - I do not understand people who don't love it. The geekiness! The wit!

Ahh, gotcha. *wishes you luck with either decision*

And, yes, exactly. *wishes you luck with that, too!*

INDEED.

Oh, dude, no, I can't, just that I hit - ha, pertinently enough - a George Lucas-sized wall of "GOD NO" in one episode lately, and it's been hard to move past that. I can't spoiler you! But generally I agree one hundred percent with your assessment there.

*is appreciative of all the luck*

Is everyone on my flist ahead of me? Seriously? NOT COOL!

Chris? And look, I know I don't enjoy formals, but he's asked three times.

It does. But I have a doctor's appointment on Saturday, so perhaps I will be given helpful drugs. <3

He is being mighty insistent then! (I'm surprised, he didn't seem the type to be so persistent...) Seems he wants you to go with him, what school is he at? Will you know anyone else there, or will it be you and all of his friends?

Same school as Laura, remember? So I won't really know anyone.
