So I've been musing over this for a while and sort of struggling with a decision, and then I realized that I had the internet to help me out. Maybe? Please? ( Cut for rambling about my personal life...not terribly interesting. )

I am totally chiming in with... more or less the same thing everyone else said - if you can, talk to him to point out that you're not so much with the drinking and dancing, and if he is not going to give you a hard time about that, then go to the formal at least (though from our afterballs as well, I'd say that skipping that part is probably a good idea).

And URK at the cold - definitely best to go double check with the doctor just in case - too many people I know have wound up with chest infections/bronchitis/pneumonia lately. :/

And the Vader thing looks AWESOME.

I am... behind on Bones right now, mostly as a result of a traumatic last episode I watched incident, but other than that I love love love it. &labrats;

He knows about the drinking and dancing - though he totally doesn't understand it - and I think the issue is he doesn't totally get what that would mean should I go as his date. And yes, definitely skipping the afterparty if I do go.

There have been an alarming number of chest infections going around, so I'm booked for an appointment this Saturday. Hopefully it's all good.

Anything Star Wars related is pretty awesome :)

A traumatic incident? Fill me in? Bones is awesome - I do not understand people who don't love it. The geekiness! The wit!

Ahh, gotcha. *wishes you luck with either decision*

And, yes, exactly. *wishes you luck with that, too!*

INDEED.

Oh, dude, no, I can't, just that I hit - ha, pertinently enough - a George Lucas-sized wall of "GOD NO" in one episode lately, and it's been hard to move past that. I can't spoiler you! But generally I agree one hundred percent with your assessment there.

...dude, but of course. a) I've been around/aware of Hugh/the Headstones/HDRC (variously!) since, um, 2001? and b) I am from Canadian Six Degrees! We are ALL OVER that occasionally-bald man. <3

I just had to google cos I can never remember song titles.

No, fair enough with the Googling, I just...I've literally never found another person who knows who they are, let alone likes them, Canadian or otherwise. I'm sort of in shock.

Oh, man, I need to introduce you to some people, methinks. :D

To give you the slightly more than nickel tour reason of why, waaaaaaaay back in 2001 I used to RP U2, and some of the people we RPed with regularly played Hugh, Callum and REM, so they wound up on my radar a long time before they would've otherwise. And then six-degrees-of-due-South takes in a LOT of territory. I know at least three or four people with Headstones rings, even.

I am not familiar with any of his background! I just heard one of the songs on the radio and bought the album right away - the first one I ever bought with my own money, completely, I think. And yes, I guess that would take in a lot of territory. The internet - it's a good thing!

It's so interesting how people come from different directions to find stuff then, cos... yeah. Dude. And indeed it is! :D
