Hyperion lobby, Christmas day

The lobby of the Hyperion has been taken over by the Christmas spirit. The tree is lit up and sometime during the night a certain someone snuck down to add candy canes to the decorations. Presents of all shapes and sizes can be found underneath it

Aeryn wanders down from the room, not sure if there's anything she's missing. Last year was just her and John, so if there are any other kinds of traditions or celebrations, they're new to her.

And she takes some time to poke at one of the socks that were hung because those things still confuse her.

Molly practically bounced down the stairs.

This would be her second Christmas this year, but the one back in her home world had been a little sad since it was the first time without Gert. Molly was still a little sad about that, but this celebration should be much happier for everyone else who was here which would make her happy.

She skidded to a halt once she reached the lobby. "Hey, Aeryn! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas," she says, smiling a little. It's Molly. "You look happy."

"I am!" she said. "It's Christmas and I'm in LA where it is warm and a bunch of my friends are here and there are presents to open and a ton of food! And there probably won't be any monsters to interrupt either." She gave Aeryn a big smile.

Angel came down the stairs as though this was the first time he'd come down into the lobby since midnight.

He was a huge dork like that. "Hey! Santa came!"

"Merry Christmas, Angel!" Molly called.

"Merry Christmas, Molly!" Angel said. "Santa didn't wake you up when he came, did he?"

Yep, Angel was a huge dork.

Molly snickered. "Nope. I must have slept through 'Santa' leaving presents."

Callisto looked even less enthusiastic than she had the day before, if that was even possible.

Aeryn makes her way over and starts with a hopefully innocuous "Not a fan of the holiday?"

Callisto stared blankly ahead. "Why would I be?"

"Things haven't improved, hm?"

There was now an Alanna with a cat and presents in the lobby, poking suspiciously at the tree.

"Merry Christmas guys," Angel said. He pointed at a fist-sized, misshapen present under the tree. "That one's yours, Faithful."

Faihtful cheerfully pounced on the package. Alanna snorted and tossed a dagger shapped package at Angel. "I keep trying to convince people that he's their gift, but everyone keeps returning him."

If Faithful tore open the paper he'd find a bunch of catnip mice.

Angel tossed a mace-shaped package towards Alanna. "Maybe you should drug him first?"

Ray wandered downstairs, still rubbing his eyes and blinking at the decorations again.

"Good morning, Ray!" Molly said as she went over to give him a big hug. "Merry Christmas!"

"Hi," he said, returning the hug and yawning. "It's early. How long you been up?"

She shrugged. "A while. I was too excited to sleep much."
