After a long day skulking in shadows and hunting down vampires, there were few things that could make Angel happy.

Or acceptably happy at least.

Luckily for Angel one such thing was close at hand and waiting when he got home.

If he didn't have the flatscreen and a hockey game to watch on it who knows what he would have done?

For some strange reason what Angel really wanted to do today was be with Sean. Obviously walks during the daytime were out of the question. But quality time spent on tummy rubs and cuddling? That he could do.

Doing the whole Champion thing meant that Angel had to catch up on the important things in life via DVRs that, thankfully, people who weren't him knew how to operate.

"Sure: knock," Angel replied. He folded his arms and looked at Wesley. "Knock is a word."

So Buffy had died in this universe, which left Angel feeling a lot of things. The highest on the list was uncomfortable, since feeling things wasn't exactly Angel's style. Angel had been coming up into the basement when the portal hit.

As though having a party in his hotel wasn't headache enough, Angel got some weird voicemail. He assumed it was somebody from the party who he didn't know. If they wanted to talk to him over the phone instead of in person he was more than a-okay with that.

So he hit redial - or so he thought - and left a message.

Angel woke up that morning and knew without a doubt what he had to do. Something big. Something huge. A battle with evil so monumental that if someone were inclined to write it all down it would take up pages and pages of posts text.

He was going to do it, and he was going to do it in just one minute...

It was a wonderful thing to be loved. To know that you were cared for and cherished above all others. Sure there could be claims to being impartial but alone, in the private moments, the real truth came out.

Some might say that they were just words, but in this case it wasn't true.
