Things I've learned today

I had a couple of costume ideas, so after physical therapy I stopped at the mall where I learned a few things.

1) They have no costume store this year.
2) Hot Topic is even lamer than I remembered.
3) The Ben & Jerry's closed

After that, I gave up and went home.

I wanted a cool pirate hat. I did find a Halloween store nearby, but they only sell hats to people with tiny heads. Unfortunately, one size does not fit all and that's all most stores carry.

I am saddened to hear about 1 and 3.

As for #2, Which mall were you at? The stores vary greatly by what they feel the "target audience" in that locale wants. But in general, I have noticed a trend towards less quality and less selection in most of their locations. The independent shops still rule supreme when it comes to "alternative" music/scene inspired accoutrement.

Good luck with the costume. I have to start sewing the hubby's costume tonight,and finish it, so I can start working on mine tomorrow. I doubt I'll finish in time for the wedding I am going to tomorrow.
