At one time, when I bought a new album I'd play it in the car first while driving to work.

Then, I started to throw it on my MP3 player and listen to it on the train.

This last week I bought my first CD of the year - a two year old Sarah Slean album I had missed when it came out.

I put it on my MP3 player to listen to it while I mowed...

NWCMH: Girlfriend
Me: No
NWCMH: I'm engaged and I hate it.

Seriously, if that's the first thing you say about your relationship, maybe you are doing it wrong.

I just discovered why I got so many cell phone messages this weekend.

My cell phone no longer rings.

I turned the volume all the way down then all the way up and made a test call. Still no sound and no vibe.

As an experiment, I will buy a new battery, because I have no time to go get a new phone right now.

Left the house at 8:30 this morning, drove to NJ, grabbed a paint can, a big brush, a big rollerastepladderasmallerrollerasmallerbrusharagasponge and painted a room yellow, anotherroomadobeandanotherroomred then declared it to be dark out and got home at 10:30.

Tomorrow, I plan to do it all over again.

Hopefully, while I'm out, my cat will poop.

Yesterday, I went over to DeVry and talked to a counselor. If I did want to follow up on my embedded systems thoughts, I could take all the relevant courses and be done with them in Decemeber 2010. I wouldn't have to pay DeVry for the classes until after I took them all, but I would have to figure out how to pay for the rest of my life for over a ( Read more... )

Yesterday was Charlie's annual pig roast. On the big food table, there was a pile of chips and related stuff that never even got opened. For the first time in a very long time, I went to Nocturne last night. I got to see a couple of people I haven't seen in a long time. But I got home around 3 because someone wanted a cheese burger before bed (I had the omelet).

I forgot to turn off my alarm, so I woke up at the usual time and failed to get back to sleep.

Yawn.

I went outside, edged my yard, and mowed one strip of grass before the rain started.
