SnowFort 2011 - MkII: Exploring the Back Yard

Earlier this winter, I got the idea to dig a snowfort out of a small mountain of snow collected from our parking area. Much like the dwarves in Moria, however, I dug too deep. Luckily, rather than releasing a Balrog, all that happened there was the thing collapsed in on itself

So cool! One magical winter, the neighborhood kids put all differences aside and built a similar snow cave/castle in a huge snowpile in a vacant lot. I wish I'd thought of taking pictures. Hunter is one lucky kid. He's probably going to remember this fondly.

I've always wanted to dig out big forts in parking lot snow mountains, but I guess I've just never been motivated enough.
