It's a long, delicate surgery, and there's not enough stores of donated blood to give him a full transfusion, so it's longer to get him stable. He knows she said she wouldn't leave without seeing him after what happened downstairs, but he didn't really know if she'd sneak out. He appears in the door with two full bottles of ambrosia, he figures they'll need them if she's still there, and he knows he'll need them if she's gone. -

It's been a hell of a day, first an entire shift running combat drills in the sims, then the argument with Kara. He can only hope she comes up eventually, like she said she would. Still, that worry isn't quite enough to keep him from being asleep almost before he hits the bed. On top of the covers. Fully clothed. It happens. -

Lee has a headache. A raging migraine, in fact. He blames the weather; it's blustery and rainy out, and probably not the cause of his headache at all, but that's what he's decided he's going to blame, and so he is. It was three days before he could sleep the night through without nearly falling off his bunk, used to the much wider bed he and Kara had shared at Milliways. It was nearly a week before he could fall asleep easily without the sound of her heartbeat close by. Lee's gotten used to this; this sleeping next to her, close enough to hear her heart beat, steady and comforting. Used to her warmth, used to waking up with his arm slung casually across her stomach, her naked body spread out in all it's splendor next to him. They have popcorn, they have Star Wars, they have a laptop to watch it on, though Lee's less than certain about that. He's more of the opinion that any movie about pilots ought to be watched on something big, but he'll take what he can get. Besides, he figures they'll be making out before the thing's done anyway.
