Though it may seem cliche, I must advise "chatting up" women of a more amenable nature.

Oh no, I don't run my own business. Too risky, you've got to worry about keeping inventory and making your customers happy, paying your employees. I'm not as ambitious as all that.

Year and half? Well fuck. That's a bloody long time.

Just "the easy life", then?

... It seems far too long.

Nice thing about freelancing is it lets you set your own hours.

Yeah, I'd guess it would. Don't know as I'd want to stay here that long. Although there is the question of whether if I went back, would I end up with a hole in my chest again?

I see, Mister... ?

You are dead? My most sincere apologies.

No, I'm pretty sure I'm not dead. I mean, I remember being shot, and it hurt like all hell, and when I got here I was still shot and it still hurt. So pretty sure I didn't die.

[ooc: Avoidy XXXX is avoidy.]

That is most fortunate.

I have died myself, in this City. And it is not a pleasant experience, not to mention the side affects of death here.

[ooc; she notices~ XD ALL GOOD. B- but, she may be doing recon on him in the future? Brocklehurst is her employer, after all~]

Yeah, I've heard about this thing where you can die here and still...not be dead. Weird. Think I'll just avoid that long's I can.

[ooc: Go right ahead! She'll probably never get his name, though, because uh...he hasn't got one. Yay for tricksy canon?]

It is best.

The feeling upon revival is not anything I would describe as pleasant.

[ooc; she'll mainly be trying to observe his business actions, since that's what Brocklehurst is curious about~]

And I really kind of like being alive, and having a pulse and all that.

So there are lot of these soul-eaters here in the city?

[ooc: That's totally cool. He's pretty circumspect, but occasionally a little bit too trusting. ;)]

It is most inconvenient not to have a pulse. And rather... cold.

Not in this place, no. The Arrancar are the only true threat to souls here.

[ooc; Poor guy D| What sort of things would she see if she were secret!shinigami stalkin' him? O: If you'd rather her not find anything, that's perfectly cool~]

notagangster May 28 2008, 04:32:26 UTC
Yeah. Yeah, guess it would be.

Arrancar?

[ooc: I don't want his business totally exposed straight off (and his association with Vicious is totally off-limits), but I don't mind if she finds out eventually that he's involved in the drug trade. Would you like to email me, and we can work out a couple bits of information she could pick up on?]

Arrancar are corrupted souls, the Hollows, who have become the most powerful and ripped off their masks, leaving behind their hearts and leaving only fear and hunger.

[ooc; Mm, 'course~ I'll drop you an email!]

Wow. There's another good reason to stay alive, if I really needed another good reason. Shit, sounds like you've got a pretty fucking dangerous job. And it's one you never take a break from? That's just not right.

[ooc: Cool!]

The job of a shinigami is innately dangerous, but I do not fear. I am... one of a kind. If I am killed, I have no doubt Mayuri-sama would simply make me once again.

That's lucky, I suppose, but still...I gotta hand it to you, it's not a job I'd want any part of.
