So Eric and I got back from a trip to San Diego (just the zoo, though we walked there. Remember that giant tree is for sitting.), LA (for three days), and Las Vegas (just overnight to drink and get cupcakes). My favorite part was the La Brea tarpit. In some places in the park, tar bubbles up through the grass.

Due to scheduling vagaries, and my generally bad memory these days, I suddenly find I have a random three day weekend. THREE DAYS OFF IN A ROW. FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY.

What in the world am I going to do with myself other than rewrite my essays for Johns Hopkins?

I can't keep this up forever.

But for now I reshaved the sides and back of my head. I've got freckles on my scalp. Hilarity!

I'll miss this when I go and become a full-time responsible adult.
