We're getting some snow (though perhaps less than forecast). My motorcycle was unwinterized. Oops. So, at 20 degrees out, before the snow started, I put on my snowsuit and drove to the gas station. My motorcycle jacket is done! I went and got it. (And paid the balance.) It will REALLY protect me in a crash. It is very thick leather, and because it is new, as a result it is very stiff. My motorcycle failed inspection. Needs a new tire and new brake pads. The guy said I should order the tire, and so I did. Did anyone say "brake pads are not in fact all standard and we don't have them and you should order them too"? My knucklewarmers came. I put them on the motorcycle. The left one fits nicely. But the right one has a cutout supposedly for the brake fluid reservoir, but the reservoir isn't there on my bike, so there's a great gaping hole to funnel the wind onto my right index finger. Sigh. My bicycle's front brake has been dragging for a while. And the gears are wonky. And the chain is old and stretched. Etc. So I brought it in last weekend to have all these things looked at.
