I don't know how this is happening.  I feel like I've fallen into a surrealtist timeline.  Please, someone rescue me back to what reality is supposed to look like...

I am so very very afraid.  Knowing too much history means I know that insane and surreal are actual possibilities.

I just voted! Massachusetts now has early voting and so it's DONE. Yeah, there's something to the hype and excitement of Election Day. OTOH, NOT standing out in the freezing cold at 6:30 am (Tuesdays being one of my long days on campus) for over an hour has a GREAT deal to recommend it. I LOVE early voting! Love you, Massachusetts!

Maybe I spoke too soon when I said I'd finished the book.  Well, I HAD finished the very first draft.  Now I'm rewriting heavily.  I want it to be a different sort of a book.  Things are rather confusing, or rather that were confusing, are becoming more clear ( Read more... )

I just heard an hour ago that my Flameno teacher will no longer be teaching classes.  I've done a cursory look online and can't come up with a viable alternative (the one beginner course I found is offered by someone who has a reputation for liking dancers who can do fast footwork, which is Not Me.)  I will ask my (now former) teacher if she knows ( Read more... )

Just got a series of texts from MIT Police about a shooter on campus.  Turns out that the shooter didn't actually get quite into campus, but was at the corner of Portsmouth and Main.  You know, where Draper is.  Yes, there is/was a real shooter there.  And the text gave a lot of information about how to take cover, shelter, etc.  (i.e., cower ( Read more... )
