I don't know how this is happening.  I feel like I've fallen into a surrealtist timeline.  Please, someone rescue me back to what reality is supposed to look like...

I am so very very afraid.  Knowing too much history means I know that insane and surreal are actual possibilities.

Even if Hillary manages to win, it should NEVER have been this close! And if she doesn't win, that's even worse.

I can't imagine what my fellow Americans are thinking. I know that lots of other Americans disagree with me on policy, but Trump is severely mentally ill, and I have to wonder how anyone could have voted for someone of his temperament, regardless of his policies.

Yours is the first post I saw after writing my own distress. I've been afraid since spring that the world was having an outbreak of mass political idiocy unlike anything we've seen for almost 90 years. And telling myself I was being hysterical.

I'm right with you. J kept telling me that I was awfulizing and having anxiety issues because It Just Can't Happen. And it happened. And I really don't know how we're going to survive this.

A small majority of the electoral college, and a small minority of the voters, appear to have decided that they would rather burn it all down and hope to be equal among the ashes than do the hard work of fixing things in this country the right way.

Well, there certainly won't be any "healing" or "coming together", that's for sure. I also have a few other theories that I don't want to post, but the most obvious that I will is the one I find most unfathomable--many of the people of this country STILL can't deal with the idea of a woman as President.
