Fred had shirked off work that fine Saturday, and went and got in his truck to drive up to the meeting he'd arranged. Hell, if anything, he'd get a free meal out of it. Fred was alternating between reading programming tips on the internet (for his final tomorrow) and packing up his office. He'd gotten a new job at the gym, so he would not be teaching again next term.

He would never admit it, but he was going to miss teaching.

His office door was open.

Fred was pleased to not have his healthy snacks attacking him today. That meant he could concentrate on making plans for tomorrow's class, and make it a really good one.

His door was open, and anyone who came in or looked in the door would see Fred sitting at his desk, seemingly making battle plans with various objects on his desk.

Fred was in his office, the door cracked open.

He seemed to be having an argument with someone on the phone. Fred was vehement that he was retired from boxing, and he wasn't going any sort of work with that anymore.

He eventually slammed the phone and it... broke.

Fred had moved a heavy punching bag into his office. It made waiting around on office hours days a lot easier, plus it meant more exercise.

So if anyone stopped in, or wandered past his open door, they'd see Fred punching the snot out of a punching back. Occasionally he'd spout lines like 'You like that, Victor?'

He had issues.

Fred was actually enjoying himself today. He wasn't being a weirdo on the internet, or even imagining beating up his students.

Nope, he was just futzing with some green army men on his desk, basically regressing to his childhood a little. He'd deny it to anyone that came into his office, though.
