We're coming into the home stretch, rewatchers! While we're sad to see the rewatch end, we're super excited to begin our Luke Snyder marathon. Can I get a hell yes

Noah thinks Reid is selfish and will hurt Luke (I'd say it's a pot/kettle situation, but Reid has never come close to doing anything in Noah's ballpark!)
Very true! It's not so much a case of a pot calling the kettle black as it is a case of a very black pot looking at a silver kettle and saying "You're black and I'm not."
AND YET. Noah still didn't apologize!! Admitting your bad behaviour is NOT an apology!Seriously! I mean, I do think it's possible to "apologize" without actually saying the words "I'm sorry" (like Brian Kinney bringing Mikey a raw steak for his black eye after punching him), just as I think it's possible for someone to say those words without actually apologizing (like when people say bullshit like "I'm sorry what I did hurt you", sure, they've said the words, but they're not actually admitting to doing anything wrong, they're basically putting the blame on you for reacting that way. But here? Noah doesn't do ANY of those things! Even the last one would have been better than this, where he basically admits he was

Indeed!
Re: apologies, my favourite non-apology in TV history is when Coach tells Tami (on Friday Night Lights), "I'm sorry you're mad at me." LOL! She's like, Yeah, that's not an apology. Hee.
But yes, I agree you can apologize without literally saying "I'm sorry." But Noah really doesn't do anything here except admit his terrible behaviour. He looks pained (as he bloody well should!), but he should be begging Luke to forgive him at this point. Especially if he wants Luke back! Sheesh.
Luke can talk about them being friends because he is no longer in love with Noah, so there's nothing for him to get over. But if I assume Noah has something resembling normal human emotions, then I can understand how he might feel like being around Luke and seeing him with someone else would just be too painful for him.Yes, I agree. I understand Luke here, because Noah's leaving town and

I kind of love this episode, I must admit. I mean, yes, we see Noah reach epic douche levels and there's the Chris stuff (sigh), but the Luke and Reid stuff is just. so. awesome. I wish I had time to provide more details as to why I love it so, but alas - work beckons.
OMG I totally love this episode! That Luke/Noah scene is probably my fave of theirs ever, because Luke finally stands up for himself and doesn't back down and let Noah guilt him. Love. It.
