It's not so much a case of a pot calling the kettle black as it is a case of a very black pot looking at a silver kettle and saying "You're black and I'm not."

Indeed!

Re: apologies, my favourite non-apology in TV history is when Coach tells Tami (on Friday Night Lights), "I'm sorry you're mad at me." LOL! She's like, Yeah, that's not an apology. Hee.

But yes, I agree you can apologize without literally saying "I'm sorry." But Noah really doesn't do anything here except admit his terrible behaviour. He looks pained (as he bloody well should!), but he should be begging Luke to forgive him at this point. Especially if he wants Luke back! Sheesh.

Luke can talk about them being friends because he is no longer in love with Noah, so there's nothing for him to get over. But if I assume Noah has something resembling normal human emotions, then I can understand how he might feel like being around Luke and seeing him with someone else would just be too painful for him.

Yes, I agree. I understand Luke here, because Noah's leaving town and he doesn't want to end on bad terms, but I also get Noah not wanting to be friends at this point.

I can definitely see the wisdom in Reid's advice that Katie didn't need to put herself through more than she could handle.

Agreed. I definitely don't think it's as bad as Luke is making it out to be. Reid's thinking like a doctor and about not wanting Katie to upset Chris if she's going to be weeping and wailing or whatnot.
