I really loved that part! I loved that, although Reid wasn't exactly following Luke's advice to the letter, he had clearly listened to what Luke had to say and just sort of modified Luke's advice so that he could make it work for him yet still be himself.

I'm thinking he and Luke stopped on the way back from the meeting and had a rather exuberant "encouragement" session. Who's with me?!

Love Luke’s apology for hurting Reid’s feelings. Love Luke’s reaction to Reid showing up at Al’s. Love Reid’s speech and how he managed to be himself and yet still do a good job at the meeting. What strikes me about the opening discussion between Luke and Bob is...okay, fine, Luke's chest hair. I'm so shallow. *rawr* But seriously--it's Bob's acceptance of Luke and Reid's relationship. I can (almost) forgive Bob all the nonsense he put them through during the Invicta debacle, because at heart, Bob knows how good Luke and Reid are together. He knows they're going to be the gay Kim and Bob! Yes!!!

Hey, Doogie--did your father ask Katie to go the extra mile to make sure you made a good impression with the union people? Nooooo. Should that tell you something? Like maybe, he doesn't care what impression you make, but he wants to be sure Reid does well???

And then Katie can laugh through her tears while she tries to explain the intricacies of the human heart to Reid and he can roll his eyes and pretend he doesn't understand.

Oh, man, I don't know. I'd like to say yes, but I spent all of last week working on editing my first novel and I'm feeling really...I don't know...overwhelmed by writing and life. But I'd love it if someone wrote it!!
