The only downer of the episode today was seeing Doogie Hughes. Everything else was fab and wonderful.

Loved Luke leaning against Reid on the couch. I imagine they do that a lot at nights and on weekends.

They so do. And then after Luke's tired of Reid looking over his hospital work endlessly, he's all like, "Reid, what is that?" and sounds all concerned.

Reid's all, "What is what?"

And Luke is like, "This." And he reaches down and starts to rub Reid's cock through his pants. "Oh! It's getting bigger!"

Reid's like smirking and puts his papers aside. "Oh, that. It's a little problem I have sometimes."

Luke says, "It feels really big and scary, actually. Can I help you with the problem?"

And Reid says, "Sure. Why not? You're probably not so lousy at helping with this kind of thing, even if your advice on how to act at union meetings is lame-o."

Reid unzips and unbuttons, and Luke pulls Reid's cock out, which is fully engorged, and is like, "Oh no. It looks really problematic."

"Yep. It's a huge pain in the ass sometimes."

Luke looks up all wide-eyed. "It hurts?"

"Throbs," Reid says.

Luke whispers. "How can I make it feel better? Tell me what to do."

UGH. CHRIS HUGHES IS RUINING EVERYTHING. :|

Understatement.

I also hate foreshadowing. :(

As much as I hate Douche Hughes and his selfish idiocy, I love Reid's deep concern for him. He's so worried it knocks all the snark out of him and I already miss it. How can anyone watching Chris and Reid interact here think that Reid is the one that needs to learn how to love ( ... )

Memorial is so screwed without him.

THIS. It bugged me that they built up the whole COS competition and in the end, neither of them got it! What was the point?! At the end of the show with Bob retiring, it would have been satisfying/comforting to see Memorial in the hands of someone like Reid because we would know Memorial is in good hands.

IKR? Also, the neurowing is state of the art because is Reid is state of the art, so just having his name and ashes in part of it won't quite cut it. Everybody in Oakdale just has to stay healthy! I think tptb assumed viewers only cared about the love lives of the characters and didn't care about the institutions or the town itself.

Totally! It drove me nuts that Romantic Love was the only thing that seemed to matter. Remember when there was business intrigue [e.g., between Walsh Enterprises and Montgomery and Associates]? And personal rivalries [e.g., Lisa and Lucinda,]? And homes of their own instead of living at a freaking hotel? Maybe I'm romanticising the past, but I kind of think that the rivalry between John Dixon and Bob Hughes was a more interesting 'hospital' storyline than Chris Hughes falsyfing medical records so that he could get some of Katie's magical vadge.

I love their scenes together in this episode so much. They are so boyfriend-y. :-)
