Today's episode begins with Reid meeting Bob at the Lakeview for more of Mona Cross's dog and pony show. Reid is not happy about it, and he attempts to kill Bob with his eyeballs.
I actually liked the Luke and Lily scene. Luke tries to be a good son to both parents and wants them both to be happy. he's savvy enough to realizes that his mom knows something that she's not telling him. Lily is admiring of how Luke handled his breakup with Noah and encourages him with his new one. I thought her knee-jerk reaction to Bob's ultimatum [the accusation of homophobia] was good writing. Not because Bob is homophobic [which Lily knows because of their discussion when Luke first came out] but because she's always been so worried about homophobia. I think it was very in character for her to leap to that conclusion first

More people were actually comforting Katie than they were Chris.
A hell of a lot more people were comforting Katie than Luke.
NOT THAT LUKE NEEDED COMFORT SINCE HE WAS SNUGGLED UP IN BED WITH HIS NEW HOT DOC BOYFRIEND DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY AFTER HAVING BEEN SCREWED WITHIN AN INCH OF HIS LIFE!

Yep. *nods vigorously* I actually rarely even think about that stupid ending anymore because it was just so ridiculous and some of the worst writing ever. But on rare occasions that I do think about it . . . grrrr.
For whatever reason, I kind of love that during the scenes with Noah and Luke, you just know that Noah thinks that Reid and Luke have totally fucked already. I have always wanted to write a Noah POV where he's completely jealous about that, making himself miserable imagining them fucking, angry that Reid "used" Luke for his money and his ass and then tossed him away. (Never really getting, of course, that he'd basically done the same thing the entire time he was with Luke.)
I started one once, but didn't get very far with it.
OMG! You have a lot on your plate and I'm always grateful for the stories you write so I would never ever be rude enough to try to pressure you into writing something. This idea is awesome. Even if you never get around to writing it, thanks for letting me think about it.
Aw, that's sweet of you to say! :) I was actually thinking I'd post the unfinished snippet I did write here in the comments, but I can't find it! It must be on my other computer!
It's not very exciting (or good) but this is what I wrote. If anyone wanted to expand on it, I'd be thrilled!

Noah’s never experienced jealousy like this. It burns in his gut, and makes his heart hurt so badly that he wishes that it would just stop beating. He turns every moment of that conversation in Java over and over in his head, wondering just what Luke meant by the comment that Reid was a ‘user’, that he got what he needed and then Luke was expendable. Had he…had they? Had Reid gotten that? Had Reid had Luke naked, arms open, legs spread and - ? Oh, God. He wants to throw up. He presses his hand to his head and swallows it back. They must have. It’s the only thing Noah can imagine that would leave Luke like…this, leave him looking so lost and despondent, make his face that vulnerable and broken. God, Reid is an ass! To use Luke like that, to take something so precious and special, and then just - unless…unless it’s not just that at all. Unless Luke’s falling in love. With that jerk? Noah doesn’t understand

A thing that I like about the Luke & Lily scene - I love how she says that Luke and Noah set a good example in their break up, because she knows Luke really loved Noah, but it was over, and he's now moved on, and has found Reid. And there's just something about the way she says it that makes me think that off-screen convos took place about this situation, and that there was some point in time where Luke was having a late-night snack with his mommy, after returning from making out with working with Reid, and he was all, "I'm happy. He's great. It's great. *dreamy sigh*" And Lily got over her Noah fixation.

Yes! And her line after that thing that never happened. "You should have seen them together. They were crazy for each other."
She totally saw them making googly eyes at each other when Reid was over at the Lilypad. *dreamy sigh*
In a strange way, it made them on equal terms. Luke has been in love, but has never had any good sex , imo. Reid has had lots of good fuck-buddies, but Reid has never been in love. They can learn from each other in different ways. I can imagine Luke's feelings here, if one of Reid's old fuck-buddies ever came to town! Reid doesn't really worry, on the other hand, about Noah and Luke's past sex life. I think he reacts here to the seemingly emotional/love connection that he thinks he sees...
