"You get your sight back but you lose your memory?"

You guys, was that not the greatest line ever to leave Luke Snyder's lips? I've never heard such a beautiful thing and I remember screaming, "HIGH FUCKING FIVE!" to the television. I love this episode so, so much that I even made a video dedicated to it. But let's talk about that later. Let's talk about the episode now.

I was shocked and appalled at how many Nuke fans seemed to scream “Go, Noah! He totally had it coming!”

So much word. And I would've felt the same way had Reid struck Noah, who, imo, actually did have something coming to him since he treated Luke so freaking badly. But Reid used his words like a grown-up to confront the Douche.

And I really don’t feel like justifying Luke’s “does that mean you still care” thing with Noah at the end, so I’m choosing to ignore it.I'll justify it for you! I really don't think that had Noah said "Yes, I'm still in love with you and want you back," that Luke would've changed the focus of his intent to woo from Reid back to The Douche. I think he just wanted a) to be able to write off the punch as something he could understand (i.e. hurt, jealousy), and b) to get a little comfort that the last few years of his life hadn't been utterly wasted on someone who had no real feelings for him, and probably c) he does get a little contact high from someone wanting him, and I think there was part of him that would' ( ... )

I think he just wanted a) to be able to write off the punch as something he could understand (i.e. hurt, jealousy), and b) to get a little comfort that the last few years of his life hadn't been utterly wasted on someone who had no real feelings for him, and probably c) he does get a little contact high from someone wanting him, and I think there was part of him that would've felt more secure, somehow, knowing and hearing that Noah did still care. Though at the moment my mind is coming back to what would've been Luke's reaction had Noah said, "Yes, I love you." I think that he would've gone into a mode that is much more comfortable to him -- he's not comfortable being the wronged party, imo -- and he could've stepped into comforting Noah, and probably trying to move toward what he ultimately wanted, which was to be friends. He'd probably try to explain that he never expected it to happen with Reid, etc. But, I definitely think he wouldn't have gone running back.

I heart this so hard. That is all.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that the verbal smackdown Reid gave Noah was THE GREATEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF EVER!!!

Nope, not an exaggeration at all. It is that great!

Nothing about this episode comes CLOSE to this Epic Episode Recap video. It is so hilarious, I had to watch it about 5 times.
This episode makes me remember why I loathed that Douche so much and why Reid Oliver makes me, yeah...
Those stupid IIC should have shown every gay guy within Illinois state limits being hot for Reid.
And seriously, how can social ineptness make someone even HOTTER?
We definitely should have had MORE Reid Oliver and less everybody else...

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to pimp this WONDERFUL fic of what happens when Noah punching Reid has actual CONSEQUENCES:

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS EPISODE!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING!!!!

Well, except for the ending scene with Noah. I hated that Luke ran after him, especially after Noah had once again revealed just how much of a douche he was. I mean, I agree with you and peggin. I also think Luke hasn't given up on the idea that they'll be friends again someday. But I also also think that the writers were throwing the Nukies a bone in an attempt to drag this "triangle" out. Combine it with the cockblocking ultimatum and sigh.

BUT LET'S GO BACK TO THE AWESOMENESS. USE IT. LOSE YOUR MEMORY. TOTAL MARRIED COUPLE BEHAVIOR AT THE MEETING. CHEEK CUPPAGE. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got that impression, too. It seemed like they were trying so hard to create a triangle (eg, Black Monday, the three of them in Luke's room during the dinner party, etc.), but failing miserably. I remember the spoilers of Noah throwing down the gauntlet. I thought they were going to drag the triangle out throughout the summer, but Noah disappeared.

The spoilers kept using that phrase! I do not think it means what they thought it means. Maybe they thought 'throwing down the gauntlet' meant 'acting petulant and self-righteous while you don't even attempt to win back the man that you supposedly love.' Maybe.
