"What's his vision matter compared to your confused little feelings."

Apparently a day or so has passed; Luke comes into Noah's hospital room and asks if there have been any changes. Noah tells him that he can see light and dark and some colors, but that shapes are mostly blurry. Hey, Noah? I believe the word you were looking for there was "No ( Read more... )

My fave, fave part of today's ep is Luke's WTF?face when Noah tells him to go apologize to Reid for whatever he did wrong. I mean, you can practically hear him saying, "Okay, whatever, asshole..." Luke should have righteously flipped him off and then proceeded to go snog the hell out of Mr. (i mean DR.) Jealous Pants in exam room number three.

Oh, and the body bump with "sorry" from dr.oH and "my bad" from his future boyfriend, complete with a little eye sexup just makes me all...i don't know...embarrisingly happy. (I think I just spelled that all kinds of wrong?--my brain's not awake yet...)

And then there's mopey, pillow-hugging Reid who makes me just want to crawl in his lap and give him a big ol' hug (purely platonic yo because he doesn't like girls...) Awwwww, the big bad doctor is just lost and wants richie rich so bad.

Gah...I wish I had time for comment fic today...

YES! I love that! I think it's a sign of the influence Reid has had on him, because Luke of just a few months earlier would probably have been tripping over himself to go and do whatever Noah asked of him.

I wish you did, too!

Me too! That's my favorite part in the episode. :)

I found this hysterically funny! I saw it as Luke realizing for the first time that no matter what was going wrong, Noah's first instinct is always going to be to blame Luke and guilt him into fixing it. I remember thinking that it was too bad that Noah wasn't able to see Luke's facial expression.

And Reid's "You'll know when I'm trying to be funny" is so sexy to me for some reason. Lol.

I loved this and the line where Reid says Noah's smarter than him if he's going to figure out something's going on. The lines are said in a sarcastic tone but they're actually sexy, romantic and vulnerable. I wish Luke had listened to Reid. I think that he might have been less confused about his feelings later if he had been more sure of Reid's feelings. The audience knows how deeply Reid's involved but I don't think Luke does.

Noah then goes on to say that he finally has something positive in his life... because, you know, having Luke in love with him and willing to do anything for him? That couldn't possibly count as something positive!

This will never not be, imo, the most fucked up comment that Noah has ever made. I mean, wow. What a bitch-slap to Luke. I kind of suck in my breath when I hear it every time. It's shockingly insensitive.

Luke flashes back to the Face Stroke of Epic TendernessTM, then proceeds to evade Noah's question, claiming he doesn't remember.

I really wonder how that scene ended. I mean, did they kiss again, and then Reid walked out? Or did Reid just do the Face Stroke of Epic Tenderness, and then make some cutting remark and walk out? Because time didn't just stop there and then they started up again in different rooms like television editing makes it seem. I feel like we lost a kind of important interaction in not seeing how they separated in that scene.

Naturally, he assumes Luke must be to blame and tells Luke to go and ( ... )

"I mean, did they kiss again, and then Reid walked out? "

Of course they kissed again! Duh. ;-)

I think there are something like 157 kisses on the editing room floor...or maybe they're just in my head... :) There are so many scenes like this, where they just end, and then they pick up later, like the scene never happened or that it has no relevance...frustrating...

" I think there is the possibility that a large part of him that is freaked out by how he feels wants to push Luke back to Noah, and just get this whole torturous ordeal over with. " -- I completely agree with this interpretation.

Not just in your head. I completely agree with this. They had a huge make out session right there. The editing garbage got worse throughout the summer. Fortunately you have fixed most of this with your fan fic.

I think they did, mainly because when Reid is asking what, exactly, Luke wants to tell Noah, he says "That we kissed a few times...." If we go strictly by what we saw on the screen, they've only kissed twice by this point, and only once that Luke participated in. Plus, I just really like thinking that they have sneaked in a few more kisses besides the ones we got to see. :D

Gee, isn't Luke like the best boyfriend ever? He brought a major doctor to his little town to fix Noah; he finishes Noah's film for him so that he even wins an award; he provides a laptop (as in the last episode); now he brings him lunch and an iPod. And yet Noah still finds ways to find something wrong with Luke, like here when he thinks Luke shouldn't be fighting with Reid (yup, like it's all Luke's fault because, you know, it always is, in Noah's mind). UGH!

The violation of personal space happens again when Reid walks in to examine Noah. Luke still can't stay away from Reid and stands so close to him, causing Reid to bump into him, which is, like, the hottest thing in this episode. Look at those glances they give each other. YUM!

2nd hottest thing in the episode: "He would've seen that we're--"
"That we're really hot for each other."
Um, yeah, guys, everyone can see that!

3rd hottest thing:
"That we kissed a few times and even almost had sex the day I cracked open his skull."Sex and Reid. Yeah, that's it ( ... )

Luke: Noah's not stupid. He's going to find out soon.
Reid: Then he's a lot smarter than I am.

And there it is. Right there. Reid has no clue what is going on inside of Luke, and he thinks Luke doesn't either. I waffle on that aspect, whether Luke knows or not. I think that had Reid not been insecure, had he made it abundantly clear that he wanted Luke period, and not done his insecure push-shove toward Noah, and then back again, then Luke would've had almost no doubts about leaving Noah, aside from the sadness of finally, completely giving up on his first love ( ... )

I waffle on that aspect, whether Luke knows or not.I think Luke *thought* he knew what he wanted when they were up on the roof, but then Reid started acting kind of like a jackass, and Luke became less sure. And I think Reid's comments about how telling Noah the truth could guarantee that he'd never see again probably made Luke's guilt kick in and made him start feeling like he owed it to Noah to give him another chance. So then we have a lot of back and forth over the next few episodes, all caused by a conflict between what Luke really wants (Dr. Hottipants) and what he thinks he's supposed to do (get back together with Noah). So he spends time with Noah, but then Noah pushes him away and Luke goes and finds Reid at Yo's but can't really explain why he's there. And then Noah gets Richard to bring him home from the hospital, and Luke spends the day with Reid and there's kissing, but then Noah shows up and Luke is back to ( ... )

I guess I just think, even though he had broken up with Noah months earlier, there was a part of him that wouldn't really feel *free* until/unless Noah broke up with him, and that he didn't even consciously realize he felt that way until after Noah "ended things" between them.

I really like that. And in a way, I think, Luke was waiting for Noah to come around and literally see, and be the normal (as in, not blind) Noah that he knew before making any significant change. He still felt he owed it to Noah, though, to work things out between them now that he could see, but since Noah still didn't want him after all this, then Luke was okay and not feeling as obligated to Noah as he always has been.

And of course, Luke seemed to want to work on it no matter what because that's Luke, but then this happened, and that was finally the moment when he realized it really was over.

Yeah, it was like Luke felt like he owed him another chance, especially after him causing the accident. Not because he still wanted to be with him, more out of obligation. And then when Norbert got all huffy and was like no, Luke knew he could finally let go and move on with the person he really wanted to be with our hot doctor.
