Reid is definitely Bob's favorite son. I wish there were more fic about this.

Reid is awesome (no, really?) and tells Bob about the malpractice suit from the Judd family, and offers to step away from the new wing in order not to bring bad P.R. the hospital.

I'm having kind of a crappy day/week but totally forgot there would be a new vids today. Yay, I needed this. This comm is wonderful, haven't been posting much myself but I have still been following all the activity.

So, on to today's ep. I LOVE the interaction between Bob and Reid. And I actually kind of enjoy Kim's resentment too. I like the fact that Reid is an outsider or underdog or whatever. Of all the people in town there are only three who actually seem to like him, and that he likes back; Bob, Katie - and eventually Luke, of course.

(Sorry, this was a lot of rambling and not much else. Also, sorry for the poor grammar, english is not my mother tongue).

Aw, thank you, guys. My mother tongue is Swedish, and I actually work with the swedish language for a living. This makes me kind of picky when it comes to grammar and spelling mistakes, even in English. Hah.

What kind of douche asks someone for a favor by not only bringing up a subject that is painful and threatening to the person he is asking the favor from, but also constructs a whole pretend scenario based on that painful and threatening subject? Oh yeah, the Chris Hughes kind of douche.

Amen, sister! He wasn't even subtle about it. So far, Chris has tattled about Reid being gay, about 'stealing' the fellowship, about being sued for malpractice. You don't see Reid going around saying, "Chris once sexually harassed a nurse. Oh, I'm sorry Chris, was that a secret?" or "Chris once abandoned a woman at the altar because he fell in love with her sister. Well, news sure does travel fast, ha, ha." I know it's a constant refrain but, "Why didn't the writers write Chris likeable if they were going to want people to care if he lived or died or ended up with the show's 'sweatheart.'"

i remember when Chris Hughes was actually age appropriate. then he shows up again 10 yrs. older (the same age as Reid, cuz they went to med school together APPARENTLY) just to be a viable love interest for Katie. he's such a douchebag too are we supposed to really care and want them together????

I think Chris has to be older than Reid. Even if Reid didn't skip grades or finish pre-med early [even though he's a genuis w a photographic memory], Chris didn't go to Med School right away. He was a reporter for awhile. In my head this works well because Reid being younger than Chris is just one more reason for Chris to be so jealous. YMMV.

Oh, Chris is a massive, massive, massive douche. For sure. At least Noah only ever abused Luke, really. Chris was abusive to everyone in his life. I think he probably wins the douche race, but that doesn't mean Noah wasn't right up there at the finish line, too. :P
