Our clip starts out with Bob and Kim talking about how they've been married for twenty five whole years which is so weird since their kid is around thirty-four and he was born during their on-screen marriage in 1986, which should make him close to the same as age as Luke, but since Luke was born in 1995, it's all so confusing!
Seriously, though, why didn't they just say they'd been married forty years or something? Just to make it sense-making? Whatever. It doesn't matter,'cause here comes Reid. And Kim is not pleased.
Reid is awesome (no, really?) and tells Bob about the malpractice suit from the Judd family, and offers to step away from the new wing in order not to bring bad P.R. the hospital. Bob will have none of it.
Let's all sing it: Reid's his favorite son, Reid's his favorite son, Reid's his favorite son. So suck it Doogie Hughes!
Then Reid tells Janet that he doesn't deal in what ifs. Brooding? Not Reid's style. Until he's gotta clutch a pillow for comfort in a later episode, but we're getting there.
Kim comes back to join Bob at the dinner table and is jealous of Bob's love for Reid, snarkily referring to him as "your new best friend". Oh, no, Kim - not his new best friend. His new favorite son, okay? Your boy Chris? Out in the cold! And Kim's more jealous than my five-year-old only child was when I held a baby too long at a birthday party recently (Mom, I think you love that baby more than me!), so, you know, really jealous.
Kim is definitely not at all impressed at Bob's statement that the neurowing with Oliver in charge will be his greatest achievement. What? More than their marriage? More than contributing the sperm that helped to create the asshole that sexually harassed nurses and will later let illness eat away at his heart instead of getting treated just so he can compete with Reid for his daddy's love? Kim is offended by this statement and snatches her hand away.
Bob, I don't think you're getting laid tonight.

Chris Hughes is again a total dick and outs Reid's malpractice suit in front of Katie, and clearly enjoys Reid's discomfiture over it. Then tries to turn it around to appear that he's only using it for the good cause of rounding Bob up for the surprise anniversary party for Kim and Bob.
Reid asks if he's invited to the party. Katie says yes, Chris says no. Stay tuned for the next clip on Thursday for the resolution of this dazzling cliff hanger!
