OMG OMG WOW!!!

That is gorgeous - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I kinda love the black&white, the age/agelessness of it; it goes well with the aura of tradition entailed in his pose and outfit. But oh, it really does look like an old photo; maybe those are the best dimensions for it, even a little smaller than the current size of the image. Just... WOW.

Btw, while daydreaming about this AU, I did a lot of Googling for pics of priests (I know that sounds creepy but... I did) and I found a few interesting ones. ;) You know, just in case you wanted to check out something pretty. And if any of these inspire you for another manip, or maybe get you to use some more expressive caps of Spock's pretty face, well... I wouldn't presume to stop you! :D

Ahaha, thank you! Religion is quite exotic to me as a concept, so I'm always worried that I'll inadvertently piss someone off. Thus all the humor. :D

Hehe, I'm quite areligious too, at the moment (grew up with German Lutheran protestantism and various other Christian flavours) so I wouldn't be pissed off either way and on the contrary found it all very funny. I think some religious, rigid rules would quite appeal to Spock's character... if Trek fandom stays this big and active for a while, you'll probably get your wish for a Catholic!priest!Spock AU a few times over. ;-)

Oh, yes! Basically, the ST XI canon is that Spock grows up believing in a certain philosophy/outlook, but then meets Kirk who PROVOKES the hell out of him until he makes Spock realize that he has to reconsider his beliefs. Which he does, and manages to incorporate conflicting sides of himself into a more harmonious whole. And also gains a BF(F).

So you know, all I want is this very story told over and over again, only in different settings - how conservative of me, really! The Catholic Church seemed one obvious choice (besides, I didn't have enough images for a samurai!AU... LOL).
