Oh, honey. I'm so glad you've emerged on the other side of that ordeal. And I hope you have the cruise of a lifetime--goodness knows you've earned it! ♥

Oh, man. I'm glad you came out of that in one piece, and that it really helped you - so often back surgery doesn't. I think it's awesome how involved you are in the theater scene these days - I remember when you were just starting, and when you directed your first play, as well. Do you get paid for directing, or is that one of those "Hah! As if!" things?

As for "Why did this happen?" If you're looking for a spiritual explanation, the one that comes to mind is that you learned to trust other people, to rely on them and to know they would be there for you. Sounds like a lesson that has been good to learn, and that you found out who your real friends were, even if the pain was a steep price to pay.

Enjoy your cruise! And post more often now that you're back in the land of the living - I've missed you! <3 Will you be at sea for your birthday?
