I think I should stop being impatient about output.  When I think about the change I'm creating when I'm working on medical missions, when I'm talking to patients in my clinic, it frustrates me.  Right now, I'm volunteering.  That cancels out financial reaping of rewards.  Reading through the statements of Moonlight Bay, it frustrates me further.   ( Read more... )

Mobility is perhaps one of the most basic things in most creatures' lives.  We learned to take our first step roughly around the age of a year.  We walk to work, in our homes, to go to a friend's dinner party without thinking about the motions twice.

Our Community Medicine rotation's ending.  It has been a good five weeks with the lazy hours crawling to a night of three-to-four cycles of REM.  I'm less moody, less irritable, less rushed.  I can converse with someone I don't know and don't feel that it's not necessary.  This is a good life.
