Lovely snow storm today...everything was covered in a thick white blanket. Kids playing in the park across the street, some were tobogganing down the hill, others making a snow man or having a snowball fight. Last night beneath dark skies, the winter queen in silence covered the city with her white cloak...

Although all the snow is very pretty especially in the park across the street. Soon the pristine white will be discoloured by ugly black from car pollution - a disadvantage of living in a metropolis.

Major snow storm...we got 15cm dumped on us...and it's still snowing! I dont' mind it. Toronto can handle this. The only draw back is the #$%^& -15 degrees celcius which feels like -28C with the wind chill. Burrrr...too cold.

On the other hand my sister lives west of me in Burlington and they got 30cm and my brother's in Hamilton, which is further  ( Read more... )

Woke up at 6:15 am to another gorgeous morning filled thunderstorms amidst  dark skies to accompany my am yoga session. Sitting in seated meditation listening to the rain tapping against the window, watching the lightening flashes across the sky while the thunder rolled in the distance was sublime. I love October mornings like this.

 I can no longer watch MSNBC or CNN. The devastation on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina is breaking my heart. It’s awful.  It looks like a bomb or a meteor smashed into that section of the planet. As I type this, tears are running down my face. Why do I let things get to me so?
