Rain + cold = freezing rain…it’s been doing it for two days and the trees are encased in ice.

My Dad’s power went out for a couple of days and no one was sure Christmas dinner was going to happen but luckily his power’s back on now and dinner for Wed is a go!

So there is a major snow storm hitting TO starting tonight into tomorrow with predictions of 20-30+ inches of snow landing on the city. This is a storm coming up from south of the border where it's pretty much BLIZZARD conditions! Snow made me sad tonight even though it was beautiful walking home in it ....reminded me how much I'm not in the Christmas spirit...nothing feels right.

A cold wind is blowing these last few days…gone is the sun and warmth of summer. A wicked rainstorm just blew through the area with thick navy clouds gathering turning day into night and fierce winds driving the summer rain hard into Mother Earth letting up then pelting Her again. Lightening left gashes in the sky and the deep rumbling wasn't near loud enough. When I left this morning it was raining by the time I got a block and a half away it was a torrential downpour with the wind gusting up to at least a good 20mph which causes my umbrella pops not once but 3 times even as I'm trying to turn it right side in again and hold on to my purse and a bag!!! We're having a major snow storm and it's coming down pretty  hard. I am in the doldrums - I'm sure it's the winter blahs - because I just can't take this cold any more. It's been hovering around the -14 mark with windchills of -20 to -30 for the past few weeks.
