[Zen, on the other hand, isn't wearing his mask... making it rather obvious that he's annoyed.]

Geez... why do you always make yourself at home in my room? You have your own room, you know!

[and he just gives his master a wave as he sits up] Ah, there you are master! I've been waiting for you. But your couch is comfortable.

[A sigh]

You're always like this, honestly... And if you like it so much, why don't you just take it?

Will you be returning soon? I have my report. But that would defeat the purpose.

You don't know what Halloween is?

Well, dressing up for it is pretty normal... But turning into skeletons, nope. Trust me, I freaked out when it happened earlier. Have you seen the freaky fish yet?

Not at all.

[...wait] Freaky fish?

It's a holiday, dude. Usually kids dress up in costumes and go around their neighborhoods door-to-door doing what people call 'trick or treating' for candy.

Yeah! [There's some fumbling with the SFC and he points it at the barrier's skeletal anglerfish.] See?

A holiday? Involving costumes and candy...? What a strange holiday.

[and he's just going to stare. with this face. keywords highly applicable.]

Halloween is... um, a festival of the dead. I don't really know its history, though. But I remember hearing something that long ago - people wear scary stuff on Halloween to disguise themselves as a spirit in order to prevent harm.

Though now, it's really just a children's holiday or celebration. There's games and costume parties... and trick-or-treating!

A festival of the dead, hm? Interesting. [Is that why we're wearing these clothes now?]

Did the times really change it that much?

Yes... The culture is very much different from long ago and today... At least, where I'm from.

Though, I guess it can't be far from other worlds' as well, because of development.

You look comfortable! ... and well, moderately charming too, I guess. Nice suit.

But... well, the strange attire bit is really subjective. You're supposed to dress up on Halloween, like some sort of mythical creature or just... be someone that you're not. Some people do dress up like skeletons, but not to this extent. It's a pretty fun holiday in general, though!

Haha, thanks, though I'd prefer my normal clothes.

[muses] So it's true that you wear "costumes"? [he points to the mask] Almost like a masquerade?

love you? : D sweeperesque October 25 2010, 22:29:39 UTC
You and me both. Think we can get through the week?

Never been to a masquerade myself, but... yes! Something like that, I think.

We don't really have much of a choice in the matter, do we?

Oh, really? I don't mind them so much since I can wear a mask. [concealing identity makes up for having to go through stuffy parties]
