Happy, uh... 5th of July.

So I'm a little late posting.  Been in NH for the weekend, which was much fun.  Though the trip there wasn't exactly auspicious.  First it took until almost midnight for us to get out of the house (the Boy had a nasty headache), and then while he was sleeping in the car, I missed our offramp and got lost!  It was the first time I'd driven us there ( Read more... )

re: cop -- It must have been pretty darn important. Here, you also have to have proof of current insurance in your car at all times. Once I was pulled over without it and it would have been a $300 fine if I hadn't brought said proof to the courthouse within 48 hours. Not having your license is a really hefty fine as well for us as so, so you probably dodged about a total of half a grand in fines.

Heh. The proof of insurance, we had. Go fig. The registration... I'm not sure NY =has= a bit of paper, I have to check. There's a sticker on the windshield that proves it's registered, if not neccesarily to us...

Yeah, it's a tiny bit of paper for the registration. If I recall correctly, it's around credit card size. Perfect for getting lost in the glove compartment. In Florida, we had HUGE registrations.

I've never been without registration (although sometimes it wasn't valid). Yikes.

Sounds like a goooood weekend otherwise.

about your style-- Is there deliberately a ninjakitten in the middle of the page so you can't read the first two paragraphs, or is that my version of IE fucking things up?

::sighs::

That's IE. You really ought to use something better, y'know. ;)

I'll try to make it pretty on IE too, but that's last.

Love the new look. Love the idea of two lobsters even more. Lucky, lucky NinjaKitten! I'd seeth with jealousy, but we're planning to go to Maine's Lobster Festival in August, provided we get back from our place in NC in time. Loooooobstah!

When in August is this? I'm importing NK sometime in August to go to the Jaffrey fireworks festival (GORGEOUS huge display in a valley with music. Atlas Pyrotechnics is located there, they do this yearly as a sort of ... thanks town! We're happy here). If it coincides, maybe we can bring her up there

we were already about 5 minutes from Maine... so we decided to pop up there and collect it before turning around. Now I have all of New England!

You know, you could've just asked and I could have loaned you the state. Not like we're really doing all that much with it.

re: the gazelle, I use the high-end professional version of one at school...but only for about two minutes at a time. I don't know if it's because my legs are short, my hips are wide, or what, but it is FUCKING BRUTAL on my hip joints. BRUTAL. I do it for about two or three minutes per workout just to try to strengthen the muscles over my hips, but I can't do it for any longer or I will not be able to walk. :)

Well, I hope I keep liking it longer than that! :D

The Boy brought it up this evening, so I'll get on it tonight or tomorrow... does it seem to be getting any better, hipwise?
