There is nothing between me and completion except for the verbal gluing-together of Chapter 1 from its fragmentary chunks. Not formatting. Not citation. Not edits on the introduction, conclusion, or Chapter 2. Not the tracking down of an obscure source. My conclusion? Accidentally reproduces an argument someone else has already made. That someone? Jay. Nothing like tackling the conclusion to convince you that you have no idea what you're talking about, like, at all.

On the other hand, I bought a super-adorable graduation dress (it is red jersey! it has a sash! it is from Anthropologie and yet avoids preciousness!), so I have to finish. There is no escape.

Personal goal of somehow, somehow, weaseling Molly Bloom's fatness into my thesis? ACCOMPLISHED.

Five hours of thesis anxiety dreams, or what felt like it. I dreamed I was trying to get to a thesis meeting, but the stairway had no landing.
