I went to confession today I was really nervous because it had been 2 months and I had a lot to confess and several were very serious. The pastor I went to was so very comforting that by the time I was done I was very grateful that I had gone. Today has been a sleepy day. I slept until about 10:00 am and then got up and took my meds and ate breakfast. I turned on the TV but there wasn't really anything interesting on so I curled back up in my bed and fell asleep for another hour or so. Hello all! Sorry I disappeared for a while but I was dealing with a very disheartning blow which I received at the vocations retreat I attended at the end of July. I was told at that time that the Roman Catholic Church requires that one be free of any physical or mental illness in order to become a religous sister. I am back after quite a hiatus and much has changed in my life. I believe the last time I posted here I was planning my trip to Chicago for a Vocations retreat. I have decided to wait a while longer to go back to work. When I turned in my resume and application at the daycare center yesterday I realized the level of energy that I would need to have 40 hours a week and that while I have more energy than I did a few months ago I do not have the level of energy that it would take to be an effective child ( Read more... )

I am moving intomy new house in Golden Valley this afternoon. I am hoping to beat the massive snow storm coming in this week as I hate moving and adding snow makes it that much worse. Well, today is going a little better, I talked to both of my sisters and really got out how I was feeling and let my emotions out in a healthy way as compared to what I used to do. I went the zazen (meditation) instruction at Dharma Field Zen Center last night and was quite intrigued by the population of people there. I suprised to be one of only four women and the ages ranged from 18 to 60's. I was also suprised by how many very specific things there are to do to meditate with others at the center and that they do not ( Read more... )
