I completed my Zumba certification yesterday. I can now teach Zumba classes, but I'm going to need a lot more practice before I can teach my own class. For now I'm a little sore and kinda tired. Oh and I have a UTI. Got to go to Urgent Care last night for that, that was fun.

I've been here for a week now and it's not so bad, except for the heat. I'm not one for hot weather, my favorite is mid 60s to 70s. San Angelo is a pretty nice town. I say town but it's a little bigger than St. Joseph, MO. Unfortunately with as big as it is there is not a whole lot to do here. There is a movie theater and a Triple A baseball ( Read more... )

I made it to Texas along with most of our stuff. The entertainment center did not survive the move. I'm really glad we hired someone to move our stuff in, because it would have been horrible getting it all up the stairs. And it gave us some time to spend with Jon's parents ( Read more... )

Hurrah!! I got a company hired to unload all our stuff today. Which means we will not have to lug all our stuff to an upstairs apartment. That was going to suck, especially in the Texas heat. Well, after calling several apartment complexes today and being told that they have no apartments available I was able to find one that had...one two bedroom apartment available. So I over nighted them a check for a security deposit and I am hoping this goes through. Mind you I have never seen this place, have no idea what the inside looks like, ( Read more... )

Well as it turns out housing told Jon wrong and we will not be getting base housing. What this now means is I will have to find an apartment, do the application, and get approved in the next few days. Well, I'm officially unemployed for who knows how long and I kinda feel bad, but there's not much I can do about it right now. Hopefully I can find a job once I get settled into San Angelo. I'm so excited, I'm moving to Texas in about three and a half weeks. It wont get here fast enough. I miss Jon so much and it will be so wonderful to be able to see him everyday (except when he has to do his field training excercises). This has been a very rough couple of days. Going nine and a half weeks without seeing Jon, then only getting to spend about nine hours with him was really tough.
