2012 is almost gone and i'm sorry to see it go...

1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
- product photography, but only once. :(
- made a website for a client, but only once.
- bought my first semi-professional camera. $$$$$...
- drove in a foreign country much more than just "a little bit"
- attended an Esperanto conference
- served on a board of directors (voluntarily)
- started taking photography seriously
- racked up over $2,000 debt...
- had a epiphany re: myself (see private/friends only posts)
- developed black & white film
2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
*resolutions for 2012:
- save some goddamn money... = total FAIL. (see above)
- seriously look into going back to school. = did, but to no avail.
- improve and grow as a photographer. = SUCCESS, although could have done more.
- sell some of my cameras and improve my techniques with the ones i keep. = fail....
- finish my new website. = fail.... i've worked really hard at it, though. :(
- get a full-time job. srsly. = FAIL.
- try new things, go new places. = fail. :/
- cook bake cook cook. = success.
*resolutions for 2013:
- get out of debt.
- stay out of debt.
- save money.
- land a permanent job, full-time or otherwise.
- be twice the photographer than i am today (2012).
- get to know myself better.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
- yes. D's sister and more than likely old friends back home.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
- thankfully, no. but mom was diagnosed with Stage I Multiple Myeloma...
5. What countries did you visit?
- none. *cries*
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
- (same as last year) a full-time job. money. a (permanent) Partner Visa. a clearer future.
7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory?
- May/June(?) - life-changing epiphany. (see private/friends only posts)
- Sept. 14th - temporary partner visa granted over the phone while at the dentist, lol.
- Sept./Oct.(?) - found out mom was diagnosed with Stage I Multiple Myeloma.
- mid Dec. - mom said she would refuse chemotherapy. :(
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- getting the temp. partner visa & improving my photography.
9. What was your biggest failure?
- my debt....
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
- no.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
- Onyx (Canon 5D Mark III) + Galaxy Note II LTE
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
- no idea.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
- the fuckin' Westboro "Baptist" Church. how the hell have they been off my radar until now?? i must live in a void or something...
14. Where did most of your money go?
- Onyx, the GN2 and new glasses. oh, and a Vitamix....
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
- the 5D Mk3 and GN2. i seriously became a crazed techno geek leading up to and following their release lol.

- sadder/more confused.

- i swear i'm fatter. (as always)

- saving money

- spending money
- being lazy/depressed

- at D's parents' house.

- mom & Kesha, as always.

- nope.

- House M.D., as always. also discovered Being Human (UK & North America) and love it.

- Westboro "Baptist" Church. i swear, wtf is wrong with me?

- can't say. i've mostly been reading various photography magazines this year.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
- De/Vision (a re-discovery, really)
- The Knife
- The Presets
- Modeselektor

- 5D MK3
- Galaxy Note 2
- new glasses

- a job

- i don't remember... took photos and went to D's parents' house? t'was 27.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
- having landed a full-time job.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
*if i had a "concept" it was the same as always:
- grayscale with some brown and orange.
- coats/jackets/sweaters.
- rings + necklaces + (occasional) bracelets.
- boots.

34. What kept you sane?
- D, Fae & Iggy, food & music. <3
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
- as if i care about celebs or public figures.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
- uhh... the Presidential election, i suppose, although i didn't follow the campaign trails as much as i should have.
- gay marriage/equality, as always.
37. Who did you miss?
- my family and America in general. not enough to move back there yet, though. :p

- *shrugs*
