You should apply for that Japanese teaching program. I'm going to try myself, even though I don't intend to become a Japanese teacher (shh...)

What level of the JLPT are you taking?

お互いにがんばろうね☆

it says that they expect participants to be willing to do presentations and stuff... or something like that. i really would rather not do that, though, especially since everything will be done in Japanese. D; goodluck to you, though.

i`m going for 2kyuu... and yourself?

うん。合格しなきゃ・・・! (x。x)=3

I'm trying for 1kyuu but I don't honestly expect to pass. I've barely studied at all.

And posts like this remind me of my crappy work conditions: 3 day weekend?? I have to work on Saturday and Monday as always ;o;

How do you keep yourself warm, especially during night? It's your second winter here, right?
My Japanese coworkers were talking nonstop about "yutanpo" until I realized that it's a product coming from my homecountry anyway and that I already have two of them (brought from Germany) and seriously they don't help that much. They warm up my bed for a few hours, but in the morning they're cold and so am I. I tried to leave on the air con last night, but it doesn't do that much and it's fu%§$" expensive, so .....
I'm thinking about buying a heating blanket.

Furthermore my upper half is freezing right now, because the kotatsu can only do that much *sigh* [/rant]

maybe you should give some more consideration to teaching japanese? you're a bright girl, so i'm sure you could do it! nothing's easy at first, of course-but even if you were to have a bit of a rocky start, i think you'd be able to smooth it all out. translation and interpretation aren't strictly limited to the business world, either. you never know what sorts of opportunities might present themselves to you! a translator/interpreter position, even if it's just a short contract, could help you sharpen your japanese; extra practice speaking and listening is always a good thing.

it's been cooling off in (northern) Viet Nam too, but it's not quite as cool as where you are. i'm never really sure what the temperature is, but i think last night it dipped into the low teens. it's probably ~20c right now, and windy. when you're in the shade it's chilly!

yeah, but see... i kind of want a secure job... and the majority of ppl in the translation/interpretation field are self employed... ><; i need job security...

as for teaching... eh... the rough start might due me in. D;

:[ its been windy/breezy here on top of being cold. its horrible. :/ i wonder how mild winters are in vietnam.

that depends on whether you're in the north, middle, or south of the country. i think an exceptionally cold winter day in the north would be approximately 5c, but a more typical winter day (i expect) would be 12-15c. in the south i don't think the temperature goes very far below 20c too frequently.
