Wow it seems jobwise we are pretty much on the same page, interesting ^-^

And I agree it's fu"§$"$"§$"$§ cold -___- I heard it already snowed in some parts of my prefecture yesterday ;o; ....

And posts like this remind me of my crappy work conditions: 3 day weekend?? I have to work on Saturday and Monday as always ;o;

How do you keep yourself warm, especially during night? It's your second winter here, right?
My Japanese coworkers were talking nonstop about "yutanpo" until I realized that it's a product coming from my homecountry anyway and that I already have two of them (brought from Germany) and seriously they don't help that much. They warm up my bed for a few hours, but in the morning they're cold and so am I. I tried to leave on the air con last night, but it doesn't do that much and it's fu%§$" expensive, so .....
I'm thinking about buying a heating blanket.

Furthermore my upper half is freezing right now, because the kotatsu can only do that much *sigh* [/rant]

Wow, interesting, thanks so much ^^
Well, I have only one room anyway (it's a really, really, REALLY tiny appartment, so that makes things easier :)
Well the aircon works just fine, but like you said it's getting cold as soon as you turn it off (and I remember my electric bill in August when I used the aircon like woah ... x___X ....)
I think I wanna buy another light, but warm blanket which I can wear around my shoulders when sitting "in" my kotatsu, so my upper half will be warm, too ^^;

Do your windows sweat, too? Do you do anything against it? I don't think it's healthy. I just wipe it with a towel a few times a day.

And one last question while I'm at it (^^') ... do you have a proper desk or are you usually sitting on the floor? Lately my back and knees really started to hurt. I do have a small desk, but not a proper chair, so I never sit there, but always on the floor by ma small table (with the kotatsu).

that`s a good idea about getting a blanket to go around u. i have a blanket that is awesome for such, but kinda forgot about it so didnt mention it. :x its 100x140cm and its acrylic and its SO awesome because it is never cold to the touch so it provides instant warmness. for extra warmth when i go to bed, i spread it out on top of my bigger blanket and it helps A LOT. after being the coldest i`ve ever been yet last night, i think i`m going to start doing that again from now on ( ... )

Did you buy that blanket in Japan? Because it sounds like this is exactly what I'm looking for :D
I have a pretty fluffy and warm blanket, but it's too have to pull around or to put ONTO my bed. I rather sleep on it ^^

I do have a pretty comfy sofa-chair thingie, but something must be wrong. Everyday my knees and expecially my tailbone hurt a little bit more x_X

That's how it pretty much looks like right now (although I took that photo in April ^^; ...)

yeah, i got it last year at FujiGRAND... but i`m sure you can find something similar at any store that has a decent selection of bedding and stuff.

maybe the support is wearing out in the chair..? or the padding...? :[ ive never used such a chair, i just always see them in stores... although i am considering getting a cheap one because sitting on the floor under my kotatsu is a pain even with a zabuton. >_

Me definitely needs to buy something like that SOON! (*____*)

I have no idea x____X
I was googling for "how to sit properly on the floor" but only could find stuff for "normal sitting" on chairs *sigh*
