This was done RIGHT BEFORE the old rig was torn apart, maybe even within a day. Progress on the new rig moves slowly along as I fiddle with more shelves and placement of the gear.

Progress
Now I'm getting excited!
Its been a long time since the rig was together at all, and while it's still not connected, the pieces are coming together. For some reason it looks much smaller in the picture. Well, and the lighting was crap in here at night with only a desk lamp, but you get the idea.

Working in Chicago (oldish) and whatnot.
This was brewing for ages while I could find the words, analogy, and calmness to be at least somewhat objective about things without just yelling text out my ass.
Funny enough, I'm back in Dayton, OH doing more training this week, and then on vacation next week, so a nice long stint away from the job.

There is quite a a lot going on since we last talked. Its all pointless shit that'll be irrelevant in a year, but will get posted someday soon anyways.

They love me soo much they might send me to the Chicago area for anywhere from a day to all of next week. Hard to tell with these people, I just *love* being automatically volunteered for these things, but honestly I can't complain, and the only real edownside is going to be being away from the lady for a few days. Back from training. Kicked ass and took names - I think I should be able to get my shit together and make a push for the CCNA. Shoot me - I was actually having fun telnet-ing to routers and looking at interfaces and protocol settings and splitting serial connections for frame relay and recovering an IOS crash. Whee! Third day done in beautiful Dayton, OH of corporate training. They're cramming just enough Cisco junk down our throats so we know how to swap out a power supply and reconfigure an 11 subnet site, tftp-ing the IOS into the anus of the fellow one floor up from us, and looking at a live 'debug all' stream like matrix code until we just see blonde, ( Read more... ) -
