Of course, after posting that I snide comment realize I actually have something to contribute to the conversation. I HAVE had the same moment of silence after a comment was made, except it's usually ME who's silent for a moment after my boss has said something, which unfortunately means I'm powerless to do much about it. For example, when I worked at a public aquarium and I asked my boss why, when I had just checked my online time card for that pay period, it gave me zero hours for that same day. It was too late in the day to change it at that point, the deadline for the pay period was past. I was going to get shorted 8 hours of pay on my next check because of that. My boss replied that he hadn't thought I was in that day so he had put me down as absent in the system
