Back from training. Kicked ass and took names - I think I should be able to get my shit together and make a push for the CCNA. Shoot me - I was actually having fun telnet-ing to routers and looking at interfaces and protocol settings and splitting serial connections for frame relay and recovering an IOS crash. Whee! Almost makes me want to get a bunch of used cisco junk to play around with in the garage or something, but we're already out of space to store random junk, and thats not an expense we can afford right now.
Speaking of, Honda is still in the shop but might be done. Apparently some ignition issues were going on, causing a number of problems.
On an unrelated note, gave the mother unit a call yesterday to thank her for bringing me into a world full of hate and suffering, but she raised me and knows I'm full of shit, and replied with "Oh honey its good to hear from you, how are you doing?". Gotta love her. :)
Oddly enough, last night I had a dream. I was racing around this weird little radio controlled truck thing that was dressed up to vaguely resemble a dog. I zoomed it up next to an actuall small yappy dog, which met the vehicle at the feet of my gramma Ruthie who was sitting on a couch. Ruthie smiled and laughed at it and said something like "Grandson, get your behind out here and give your gramma a hug!". Came out and said hello to her and a big "Happy mothers day!" as I bent over and gave her a BIIIG hug.
I guess, since she had passed on a couple weeks ago, that was the only way I could tell her. Even when all parties involved know there is love in eachother, for eachother, letting them know you love them outloud is like an affirmation, or a promise. Unfortunate that many times the only time we actually say it and express it is when its too late to be heard. Thats irony, sweet irony, punching you in the anus.
