Aol TV: 'Burn Notice' Creator Matt Nix Talks Game-Changing Season Finale and More

This is an interview done by Maureen Ryan, which might be a name familiar to you if you watched the various incarnations of Stargate. She was a bit of a fangirl herself, and she was the one Brad Wright ranted at in her blog when she made a comparison to SGU during a ( Read more... )

I think BN is known for many continuity mistakes. Even in Michael Shanks' infamous death scene, his body change position between one angle/take and the next! It was enough that people wondered if the character was really still alive. I have no idea if that's what he was talking about but yeah, you don't have to watch that closely to see lots of little editing/continuity problems on the show. They must film really fast... Nix does seem a reasonable guy who appreciates fans, I agree.

I think trying to be in charge of continuity on BN would turn me into a chain smoking alcoholic. And I don't smoke or drink ( ... )

I think it's the surname - we're realists! :)

Don't come across many people that share my surname (with the same spelling - not Nicks) and it was just a little squeeze moment when I came across BN and there's a Nix on the credits. [yeap sad I know]

I don't think we'll know the real truth about Michael and his "burning" until the season finale. I agree it has gotten more and more convulted with each passing season.

I think my only problem with the show now is I don't really care about who burned him or why. We've had big revelations one or more times each season, and they keep twisting it to keep it going. Bored now.

They keep showing Michael wanting back "in" and it doesn't seem to be about finding out who burned him, but he wants his old job back because it defined him. It doesn't anymore. I think he's realized it, but he's like a dog with a nasty bone; he doesn't want it, but no one else is going to have it either.

I'd much rather they finally have Michael accepting that he may never know the truth, and move on, continuing to be sort of a Robin Hood who blows shit up. That's been much more interesting to me, but they could still bring in mentions of old times now and again.

Michael's not ready to let it go. Anson's really a bastard for using Fi against him. So now he's stuck. He's gotta be Anson's bitch.

But they're all so good at blowing shit up. :P
