The Yale Cocktail

I don't (think I) make a big deal of having gone to Yale. I try not to, at any rate. I had found, in the past, that any mention of Yale would serve to set me apart from whomever I was speaking with. My First Real Girlfriend made me violet jelly once. It was yummy, and the loveliest pale purple color. I *almost* didn't want to eat it.

I've found the same with Cambridge at times. It seems to be less of an issue as my undergrad days recede into the distant past, though.

Yes, as I've gotten older - and now that I no longer live in the town that Yale is *in*, it's helped a lot.
