It's been about a week. I should have updated on all the goings on, but we still don't have internet at the new house. B is working on that. Here's a quick day by day blow:

• We signed on Thursday, even got our keys that day.
  
• Moved our boxes in on Friday and got the baby's 1 yr shots.

Kaylee has a very common and highly communicable virus. Just like chicken pox and the common cold, everyone gets this. Most people don't know it, but poor little Kaylee knows it. Our hope is that this bad of a reaction so young means she will be more immune later. No studies have been done ( Read more... )

Tadpole is sleeping in my lap, coughing every few minutes from the drainage seeping down her throat. But she is trying to sleep through it, poor little bear. Normally after a morning feeding she is put back down to sleep it off, but somehow I just can't bring myself to abandon her in this state ( Read more... )

My soon to be ex husband decided to tell me as I was getting into bed about the three month old in Georgia that got eaten by rats. Well, it got bit bad enough to bleed to death. He even went so far as to tell me that he could only imagine that any baby being bitten would scream. Where were the parents?

So, I've been working really hard. We're talking 12-16 hour days. I've gotten a ton done and really think this particular push is going to clean up so many of the issues we see. It's completely worth it.

I was so happy that K slept for 7 hours Tuesday night. Of course, last night it was only 5, but she went back down after that and again when she woke up another 2 hours later. But even with all that, it occurred to me that I will not be getting a full night's sleep for at least 6 more months, if not 10. Add that to the 6 pregnant months of waking ( Read more... )

I don't know how to explain it, but there's a difference in the cries that lets me know that she's no longer just fussy, but has an actual problem. I can very easily sleep thru and ignore the fussing, but when that panic note hits, I'm up.
