The sort of coooool thing about shingles is the way they don't cross the spine.
did you never have chicken pox as a child?

Oh I did.

But what happens is when you get chicken pocks, the virus goes dormant just below the spine. When you go under severe emotional or physical stress, or certain medicines, it reacivates the virus. Shingles actually are an attack on the nervous system, attacking the nerves from my spine to my belly button..with puss-filled sores that are nasty.

I will be in pain for about 3 months, and will have skin discoloration for about a year. The sores dissappear wihthin the next 3 weeks...but its been 2 weeks already

yeah. i understand shingles. i think they're fascinating, despite the fact that they're terrible. the way that the body reacts to stress is intense.

Hehe..wanna see them? Im in the scabbing stage, where they are flaking off...but meh.

Im laying on my couch, dealing with the intense pain. ha

Ack, unpleasant. Hey, a new celebration! I haven't had them. That means I haven't been that stressed out! Yay!

Yeah. I'm much better now.

And apparently I am really young to have them. But the time off has really helped to lower my stress, so thats good.
