Kairi's thoughts raced as she ran further and further away from her house. At first, she thought she'd just woken up late. As time had gone by, it felt more and more like a dream. Nobody was there. Nobody at all, as if time had just.. stopped going. But time was still going. As she'd left her house, originally, she thought it was a nightmare. But now.. she knew it was a living nightmare.

In her panic, she'd decided to go find the only person who was close by; Roxas. But when she'd found her way there, there had been no reply: which made her even worse. Fighting back the urge to cry, she'd run off in the opposite direction, looking and looking for him. That had been twenty minutes ago.

She stopped, gripping her fists tight to stop herself from breaking down. She breathed in again, yelling as loud as she could, "Roxas! Anyone! Where are you!"

Roxas was one of the very few that had taken little or no notice that everyone had seemingly vanished. He lived alone anyway, and when he'd gone to school earlier that morning to find the gates shut, the car park empty and not a fellow student in sight, he'd put it down to the school being shut for the day and nobody had notified him about it beforehand ( ... )

As Kairi stood there, watching time go by, she felt like it was over. Till, she heard a voice that really, there was such a slim chance in hearing it was like a miracle. In slight disbelief, she took a few seconds to turn around to face him; and when she did, she just avoided hugging him.

"Roxas..." she said slowy, some of the impressing worry leaving her face. Shocked, panicked, but with a little less worry that at least Roxas was okay. Without even thinking, she found herself crying. "Oh gosh.. I was so worried..."

Startled at her sudden and seemingly random outburst of tears, Roxas asked quickly, "U-uh, worried about what? Me? I'm fine," he rubbed the back of his head in embarassment, by now completely confused.

Nana was, at the very least, completely horrified and alarmed. SShe'd run all the way from her rather empty school to the middle of the city, and still... barely anyone about. Deserted. Even the natural sounds that suggested people working in the background and such... were all gone.

"WHERE IS ALL THE PEEEOOPPLLE?" She cried, hugging her shoulders and crouching on the spot. Had everyone disapepared and left her alone...?

Everyone Rakka knew was nowhere to be found. In fact, everyone she didn't know was gone as well... Except for...

She spotted a young girl nearby, clearly upset and in need of assistance. "A...Ah! Are you all right?" Rushing over, Rakka kneeled down, watching the girl with concern.

It's an angel's job to help others... I've got to do my best!

The girl looked up abruptly, eyes widening on the girl that didn't look to much older than her. "P-person!!" she cried, immediately clinging to them and biting her lip. "Does... does person know where everyone is? Where Sephiroth-papa is? W-Why is the city so emptyyy...?"

"Eehh?" Her eyes widened slightly in surprise. "N-No... I'm sorry." For lack of anything else to do, Rakka patted her on the head awkwardly.

"Why is this happening...?" Rakka wondered aloud, biting her lip with worry. Glancing back towards Nana, she suggested, "Maybe if we walk through the city, we'll find other people..."

"What the hell...?"

It wasn't a public holiday, if that was the case, then people would still be out of their homing mucking about. And some of the shops along the strip of stores looks like they'd opened quite happily that morning, only to be abandoned. Cloud stepped cautiously along the street, slowly, his breath caught in his throat as though he expected something to jump out at him from the solitude of the almost always busy New Sanctum streets.

What is this...?

Rikku had, for the past fifteen minutes, felt a mixture of emotions. She'd vaguely noticed that her house had been empty - and was rather overjoyed at the fact the school was shut - but now she felt like something was wrong. It just wasn't normal, and all morning, she had seen no-one at all. Admist worry, she had backtracked to near where she had started, and eventually had spotted someone walking along the street.

"HEEEEY!" she called, making her prescence known to the moving figure. "WAITTTT!"

Cloud's hand immediately flew back to his sword, ready to pull it from its holster a this back, but paused when he saw the distressed girl calling to her. She was the first person he'd seen today.... He hadn't even seen Zax that morning, which was a constant ache and fear in his chest.

He shifted his step and hurried back towards her. In emergancies, it was a SOLDIERs job to help out anyone who needed it if they had no prior orders, and he doubted there was anyone at Shin-Ra right now to even give orders. Aside from that, he wasn't about to ignore someone that obviously needed asisstance.

"I see you!" he called, "are you alright?"

Relieved she had finally found someone and that he had stopped, Rikku waved back to him, running forward. "I'm okay now! Thank goodness you stopped.." she said shortly. "I haven't seen anyone all day. Do you know what's happening?" she started, her comments readying themselves to ramble on about nothing. After a few seconds however, she blinked up at him, trying to put two and two together. "Hey, haven't I spoken to you before?"

"Dammit, am I the only one still around at headquarters??" Misato snapped, flicked her cell phone closed again and shoving it in her pocket. Already she'd tried all 77 phone lines, plus Ritsuko's, Maya's and even Kaji's personal numbers. No one was answering, everyone was gone, just like in the city... she stroked along the abandoned block with a sense of purpose to find someone, anyone, whoever or whatever was left. A pistol was clutched in her lowered right hand. Clearly she was expecting the worst.

Zax wasn't exactly sure what was going on. An eerie silence filled the streets, it was so quiet out he swore you could've heard a dime drop from a mile away. He dared to hold his breath, not sure what to expect...but as a first class soldier he needed to be prepared.

He narrowed his eyes letting his gloved hands stay at the ready just in case he needed to draw his sword.

But of course. Him and his loud mouth.

"HELLO? IS ANYWHERE HERE?" He called, keeping his eyes pried for any signs of life. At the moment his main concern was finding Cloud. His own headquarters had greeted him with an uncanny quiet that made him flat out uncomfortable. Not a single soul was there...and that bothered the hell out of him.

Misato turned her head, her eyes widening at the first sign of human life other than herself.
"Uh, YEESS!" she called back, wishing suddenly that she hadn't decided to wear high heels over mary janes this morning. She hurried as fast as she could in the direction she'd heard the male voice, though kept her gun at the ready. God knew what was going on, and who she could trust. For all she knew, this would be one of the people responsible for the deserted city, looking for someone else to take down.

He was relieved that someone answered back...he just hoped that they were friendly. He could clearly tell it was feminine and hadn't come from too far away. There wasn't much that could trick his keen senses when it came to directions either, even if he was a klutz sometimes.

He broke into a sprint doing his best to follow where the voice was coming from.

"WHERE ARE YOU?"

Kaoru sharply turned the corner, frantically turning his eyes to spy any living thing that he could. This ghost town had him chilled to the bone.. No one, Nothing.. He'd often wondered what the town would be like if it was empty, but this was ridiculous!
The most horrifying thought chimed repetitively in his head..

...Where was Hikaru?

His eyes brimmed with cold tears at all the possibilities forming in his head: What if he was hurt? Lost?.. What if he has been one of the ones to... No!

He shook his head, flinging the thoughts from his mind viciously. He didn't want to think about that possibility .. Ever! Pickeing up his pace once again, Kaoru sped down the deserted streets. Wait.. hadn't he seen this place before? He slowed to a halt, biting his lip, He was back where he was only 5 minuets ago! He couldn't take it any longer. This was stupid. if this was a joke, This was sick! All the bad thoughts flooded back to him.

"HIKAAAARUUUU!"

Nino glanced up upon hearing someone shout loudly. It had been beyond surreal, waking up and finding the house empty, then no-one on the streets, no-one anywhere. At least some noise reassured her that she wasn't all alone, but even so, the situation was scary.

Running towards the source of the noise, she dashed up to Kaoru, questioning quickly, "Um, are you alright?" He yelled a name, didn't he...? "You're looking for... Hikaru?"

Kaoru looked at the girl... There were still people here? A ray of hope glimmered into his world, if this person was here still, then Hikaru might be too! He blinked with wide eyes.

" Have you seen him?! He's my height.. Well, He's My twin, So Have you seen someone who looks just like me?!!" He questioned her back. Please! Let her have seen him! Desperation flickered in his pleading eyes.

Nino gazed at him, looking away regretfully after a moment. "I'm sorry," she murmured quietly, shaking her head. "You're the first person I've seen, I've been looking for my brothers, but the city's completely empty... I don't know what's happened, but everyone must be somewhere, right? We just have to find them..."
