I don't really have a preference. Guns are the easiest to deal with- though blades are usually more versatile, and anything is better than nothing.

Guns here would have a problem of ammunition, unless you had some way of manufacturing it. Blades are more reliable.

There should be a spare knife or sword around somewhere.
