We had someone like that at the lab I used to work at, only with liquid nitrogen burns instead of chemicals. Just keep in mind that he will provide many awesome stories of stupidity for years to come.

And also? That trainee? Sounds JUST LIKE a couple of our design part-timers. Difference being that we don't work with life-threatening chemicals, so there's no chance they'll kill themselves. I only find myself mourning that fact occasionally.

There are some other senior members of the lab, but I can pass him off. From the moment bossman assigns him to me, I'm stuck with him until he leaves the lab. *sigh* At least it's almost over.
