Gotham, How to get away with Murder, Death Parade and Korean Pirates. Now with more whales!

Feb 22, 2015 14:14

Yesterday was spent entirely on the sofa. I am still sick, suffering from headaches that start as soon as I move around so I had a lot of time to kill which I did by watching some new shows that I had successfully avoided until then.

Most of them I didn't like )

tv show, movies

I am fast-forwarding the episodes now to watch the scenes with Alfred and Bruce and maybe Gordon and Alfred. Otherwise this is absolutely not entertaining.

Welcome to my world. :DDD I've no idea why people are all over the ganster war, and Gordon/Penguin and all that. It's really painful to watch at times.

And you wouldn't believe me at first when I told you that Gordon was bland, and you know. *hugs* But I still can't watch because Alfred is perfect (and a hilariously inadequate parent) and Bruce/Selina is so cute. ;__;

The pirate thing looks like something I could enjoy, but I really don't want to care about pirates in anything other than comedy settings. Because pirates. I just don't get the hype (well, yes, I do, because they're supposedly freedom loving badasses, who just want to be left alone by their parents, uh-um the proper authorities. *sighs* I just don't care about pirates.)

and Gordon/Penguin
I can get behind this somehow, albeit not because they have so much chemistry (they don't. Like at all.), but Oswald's actor is soooo indeed fun to watch and I feel like Gordon interacts with him the most? There is his partner of course but yeah I am not surprised the fandom is going for the pale slightly crazy woobie and the other white dude. Jesus Chris, this is a mess.

I really don't get why people like this mafia war. You get almost no background info for any of the big players and so... why would I care whether Mooney or Falcone get the biggest piece of cake? XD I do not understand people, honestly.

Bruce/Selina is so cuteI haven't even seen any scenes with those two yet, and I had just convinced myself to stop watching altogether. Damn it. xD ( ... )

Skip straight ahead to episodes nine and ten. That's the ones in which Selina is living at Wayne manor for witness protection shenanigans and she and Bruce have food fights and hugs and kisses. And then people show up to kidnap the children and Alfred goes into full papa wolf mode. ♥

Yup, I mean they try to characterise Falcone and I guess Fish is entertainingly sassy, but I can't bring myself to give single fuck about them as people. The gangster storyline is tedious to sit through and best enjoyed with a fast forward button.

Gordon's partner is actually on of the few people to develop a full character on this show. I didn't expect it, but I almost care about him.

Naah, the pirates in this movie are mostly useless. As are the bandits. Everybody is entirely useless (especially the male protagonist like... fucking Christ. They are robbing the pirates when they are stocking up on weapons in some kind of village and then they go "Let's go to the ocean!!" and wander through the mountains for like four days... ALTHOUGH THE VILLAGE ( ... )

Ten bucks on Gordon having to deal with this and his train of thought goes something like "Oh God, do I know anyone who can take care of childre-AAAAALFREEEED MY DEAREST FRIEND!!" ? xDDDD But thanks for the heads-up, I will check those episodes out!

Now this sounds more like my kind of movie. XD thanks. *g*
I think you might also enjoy the relationship between So-ma and Yeo-wol - it reminded me of Peter Starlord Quill and his pirate stepdad (although Yeo-wol and So-ma interact even less than those two but their last scenes are great! xD). And the scene with the pirate explaining to the landlubbers how big a whale really is looks like something straight out of an O'Brian novel. xDDDD

ayawinner likened it to the cops on "Life on Mars" and I have to agree
That's what my husband said when we where watching the pilot!
I wasn't to interested after the pilot but maybe I'll give it a try (we taped episode one)

Gute Besserung <3

Maybe I am just not getting the critically acclaimed story telling or whatever, but I really don't care about any of the characters, so... no. Not ever. XD

I will! Or at least I will try to. Typing is hard, you know. XD

It is. It's super boring and I don't care for any of the characters. Such a great concept and they managed to ruin everything. Idiots. Urgh. (AND THIS STUFF GETS RENEWED FOR A SECOND SEASON AND I AM SITTING HERE, CRYING TEARS OF BLOOD FOR CONSTANTINE Q___Q)

Wow.
