I may have to go to the state fair this year, as Pat Benatar is one of the acts.

Other than that, I'm sick of the rain and want it to stop. But, due to using ear plugs, slept pretty well last night.

Does anybody in town have a recommendation for an auto repair place that is either open in the evening (like to 8 or 9) or on the weekends? Since it seems like all of the places I normally go to are open M-F 8-5, which just doesn't work with my schedule ( Read more... )

Seriously, it's really amusing to bait politicians (and easy too). The DSM Register has given me the chance to do it not just once, but twice in the past month (via a 45 minute interactive chat on their website).

I'm really tempted to go to The Beast Feast on Friday. I would get to support charity and eat new to me meat.

It was incredibly nice to sleep in both days this weekend. I should try to do that as much as possible. However, I fear that it was my last weekend to do so until mid-April, but we'll see. Other than that, I had a pretty good weekend.

Who knew that knuckles bled so much? I cut some of the webbing between my little and ring finger knuckles while cleaning about 2 hours ago and even after pressure, it is still bleeding.

On the upside, it looks like I will only be on the road for about 2 weeks this busy season, which is much nicer than the 4-5 historically.

So, since I have multiple cans of pumpkin left over from the holidays and I had a hankering for pie, I decided to bake a pumpkin pie tonight. I have baked before, but not a pumpkin pie. So, I had to arm myself with a recipe off the internet, follow some directions (oh so hard, not) and put it in to bake. The hardest part is waiting for the pie ( Read more... )

Today was pretty interesting. Due to the snow last night completely covering all of the highways between here and my mom's place, I didn't end up going down there to celebrate. Which sort of sucks, since today was the pull back day from Friday, when the same thing occurred ( Read more... )

Well, this sucks. Due to the snow, I had to change my plans for today (which were to go see my mom). As well as I woke up to it being cold. After some investigation, it appears that the furnace went out, on Xmas day. Talk about the suckage.
